"Lies The Government Told You: Myth, Power, and Deception in American History" by Judge Andrew P. Napolitano was a very interesting read. For anyone who is a lover of the Constitution this is a must read.
The chapters cover seventeen different lies we have been told by the government. Napolitano goes into great detail giving multiple examples of how we have been lied to over and over again. Some of my favorite chapters were "The Right of the People to Keep and Bear Arms Shall Not be Infringed", "The Federal Reserve Shall Be Controlled by Congress", and "Everyone is Innocent Until Proven Guilty". It is obvious from the given examples that our government has consistently been chipping away at our freedoms for a long time. Some of these examples go all the way back to the late 1700s!
I believe this book would be an interesting read for anyone. You may or may not agree with the premises given but I do believe he lays a great foundation for a strict interpretation of the Constitution. We should be a nation that is governed by it's laws and not by the whims of our elected leaders.
