The first blueberries of the year are here. Picked about a quart today. They are just starting to get ripe. Most of these are southern highbush plants which are adapted to the warmer southern climes we have here.
Blueberries are easy to raise and don't have a lot of pests that attach them. I never spray then and just make sure they have water and fertilizer. Biggest issue is sharing with the birds.
